Checklist for A Newborn

As a new mommy of course we ter'over excited dengan preparation untuk our coming baby and no wonder if ter'beli unwanted things. Tengok cantik aje beli. Harga mahal sedikit pun tak kisah. In mind, "ala demi anak"...mmm bila baby dah lahir, ada barang just guna sekali atau tak guna lansung or next year baru nak guna because anak baru sebulan tapi dah prepare training potty atau baby belum lahir dah prepare walker.

Since tempoh pantang 44 hari (normally) and maternity leave 2-3 months, so better prepare at least sebulan stock. Al-maklumlah dalam tempoh berpantang susah dapat green light keluar shopping. Kempunan sangat, shopping aje online. (^-^)

15 Basic - for A Newborn :-

1. Disposable diapers : 200pcs of newborn size, average 6pcs/day

    

Example * my baby :-

• 0 to 1M : (3.0 to 3.6kg) : Newborn(NB) : 6pcs/day
• 1 to 3M : (3.6 to 6.2kg) : Small (S) : 4pcs/day
• 3 to 5M : (6.2 to x.xkg) : Medium (M) : 4pcs/day

2. Napkins : 6pcs

3. Baju (shirt,jumper,romper) : 4pcs of newborn size & 4pcs of medium size (for 6-12M)

• no need to buy newborn size terlalu banyak sebab baby cepat growing up
• suitable design for a newborn - yang ada button di tengah atau bertali
• not suitable design for a newborn - yang masuk ikut kepala coz kepala & tengkuk baby masih lembut

4. Booties, Mittens, Hat : 6 sets (topi dua pun dah cukup)

5. Towel & Blanket : 2pcs each

6. Cotton buds & ball

7. Nail clipper

8. Changing mat

9. Bath tub

10. Pillow & Mattress

11. Nursery bag

12. Head to toe cleanser 

13. Baby oil

14. Wet tissue : 4 packs & 1pack/2weeks

15. Laundry detergent

*For items 12-15: find out the one without harmful chemical like Paraben, SLS & PEG.

DONE!

#5 - maybe these items less important for others but I PERLU

1. Flask

2. Bottle feeding : 2 bottles with slow flow teat

3. Milk dispenser

4. Bottle & nipple brush

5. Bottle & nipple cleanser

*For items 2&3: find out the one with BPA free.

*For item 5: find out the one without harmful chemical like Paraben, SLS & PEG.

#10 - maybe these items important for you but my baby NOT using them as a newborn

1. Modern swaddle : I just guna napkin/blanket

2. Nasal aspirator : boleh berkesan 100% ke, better guna old method

3. Sterilizer : I'm using traditional method (boiling water)

4. Powder : mengandungi talc and bad for babies

5. Mosquito net

6. Breast feeding accessories (milk storage, ice pack, etc..)

7. Warmer

8. Cot (baby cot, spring cot, cradle, etc..)

9. Binder

10. Pacifier/soother
